Teaching procedure
Lead-in
Use a video to inspire the students to present their their problems in the Teenagers’ Chat Room.
Vocabulary exercises.
Ask the students to do some translation and paraphrasing after reviewing the vocabulary by themselves.
Let the students review the conjunctions. Choose the right word and turn it into the correct form if necessary.
Make students review the text and complete the summary with appropriate words.
Pair work
Ask the students to talk about their problems and give advice in Teenagers’ Chat Room.
Five minutes later, ask some students to show their talk. Then lead them to sum up the ways to deal with the problems in their daily life. The students can take down their favorite advice.
Group work
Make the students to make a report about 100 words. Ask them to improve the report in spelling, handwriting, vocabulary, language, content and structure.
Five minutes later, some volunteers to present their report orally. Give them advice to improve their writing.
Conclusion
Homework
(1) Finish self-check on Page 32 in our book.
(2) Make a poster about how to keep a balance between life and study.
