Pre-reading activities: 1. Greetings 2. Lead in: Show two pictures of Messi and his team. Q: Do you know him? He is a football star and won a lot of trophies. In 2022, he led his team won the World Cup. Did he made a mistake? Let’s watch a video to know more about Messi. Q:Have you got the answer?Although he is a super football star, he made a mistake in the game. It’s common, right? Today, we are going to learn a story about Peter, and he also made a mistake by accident. While-reading activities: I. Read for structure Task 1: 1). How many paragraphs are there in the passage? 2). How many parts can this passage be divided into? 3).Look through the passage and match each part with its meaning.
Task 2: Listen to the story and number the events in the correct order.
II. Read for content Task 3: Read part 1 and answer questions on your own, and here is a tip for you.
Task 4: 1). Read part 2 and find the advice from Peter’s father.
2). Role-play the conversation between Peter and his father.
