本节课以高中英语新课程为依据，结合本班学生的特点和以Wildlife protection为背景线索，设置了本节课的教学目标：After the class, you are expected to 1. be aware of the importance and urgency of protecting endangered animals by reading the passage “ ANIMAL EXTINCTION” and listening to a story about the dodo. 2. write a letter of asking for help by using some expressions of INTENTION and PUROPOSE after discussing the measures to protect the endangered animals.教学活动中的每个环节都围绕教学评一致性展开，课堂学生参与度高，自主学习和探究学习相结合，较好的体现了课堂以老师为主导，以学生为主题的课堂，教学目标能较好的完成。
